In cooperation with Mondi Packaging Technologies and Uhde High Pressure Technologies, DIL will host a seminar on High Pressure Processing in food. The seminar will discuss equipment design, packaging concepts as well as processing options for food industry.

The program will include talks from industry and academia focusing on current and future application possibilities as well as life cycle assessment of HP for preservation and structure modification of food. The event will close with a demo activity and product tasting.

Food Extrusion Seminar 2017

This year, Coperion and DIL will be holding the Food Extrusion Seminar at DIL, Quakenbrück/Germany on Oct 18/19, 2017. The topics covred in the seminar are precisely tailored to meet the needs of employees working in the production and development departments who have to deal with food extrusion on a regular basis.
The seminar includes both theoretical and practical units and will convey basic knowledge as well as information on the latest technical developments and trends concerning food extrusion. In question & answer sessions, our experts will explain the details of the entire extrusion process – from feeding, processing and pelletizing through to drying and conveying. You will also learn about the assembly of screw elements as part of a practical session.

Free Open Demonstration Workshop for Pulsed Electric Field Preservation and Low Shear Extrusion

In this workshop, two innovative food processing technologies, Pulsed Electric Field preservation (PEF-P) and Low Shear Extrusion, will be presented, including a pilot scale demonstration, with conditions in a near to operational industrial environment.

It’s presented by German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) and Elea. They are core partners of the EU project i³-food.

Customers, manufacturers and suppliers interested in these technologies and their application are welcome to participate!

On these days, the i3-food project consortium partners will meet at the DIL headquarters in Quakenbruck (Germany) to discuss and review the final steps of this project, that soon will arrive to the end of its 3 years period.
